Some of the notable additions to the team are:
- Joe Burrow: A former first-round pick and the 2019 Heisman Trophy winner who is the franchise quarterback for the Bengals. Burrow had a promising rookie season in 2020, throwing for 2,688 yards and 13 touchdowns in 10 games before suffering a season-ending knee injury. He is expected to make a full recovery and lead the Bengals’ offense in 2023.
- Ja’Marr Chase: A rookie wide receiver who was selected by the Bengals with the fifth overall pick in the 2021 NFL Draft. Chase is reunited with his former college teammate Burrow, as they were both part of the LSU team that won the national championship in 2019. Chase is a dynamic playmaker who can stretch the field and make contested catches.
- Irv Smith: A former second-round pick and a rising star at tight end who joined the Bengals from the Minnesota Vikings via trade in 2022. Smith is a versatile and athletic tight end who can line up in multiple positions and create mismatches for defenses. He had a career-high 676 receiving yards and five touchdowns in 2021.
- Nick Bosa: A former first-round pick and a two-time Pro Bowler defensive end who joined the Bengals from the San Francisco 49ers via trade in 2022. Bosa is one of the most dominant pass rushers in the league, as he has recorded 23 sacks and 34 tackles for loss in his three-year career.
