Tampa Bay Buccaneers Roster 2023: Look at the Players, Positions and more

Estimated read time 5 min read

The Tampa Bay Buccaneers are one of the 32 teams in the National Football League (NFL). They compete in the NFC South division along with the Atlanta Falcons, the Carolina Panthers, and the New Orleans Saints. The Buccaneers have won two Super Bowl championships in their history, the most recent one in 2020, when they defeated the Kansas City Chiefs in Super Bowl LV.

The Buccaneers are led by head coach Bruce Arians, who was hired in January 2019 after serving as the head coach of the Arizona Cardinals for five seasons. Arians is known for his aggressive and creative offensive scheme, which earned him the nickname “The Quarterback Whisperer”. He is joined by defensive coordinator Todd Bowles, who was previously the head coach of the New York Jets, and special teams coordinator Keith Armstrong, who has been with the team since 2019.

The Buccaneers have made several changes to their roster in the 2023 offseason, hoping to repeat their success from the previous season. They traded quarterback Tom Brady to the Los Angeles Rams and acquired quarterback Matthew Stafford from the Detroit Lions. They also signed wide receiver Randall Cobb from the Houston Texans and defensive end Carl Lawson from the Cincinnati Bengals to bolster their offense and defense. They drafted linebacker Zaire Barnes from Purdue with the 12th overall pick in the 2023 NFL Draft, making him their highest-drafted defensive player since Devin White in 2019.
