Tennessee Titans Roster 2023: Look at the Players, Positions and more

Estimated read time 4 min read

The Tennessee Titans are one of the 32 teams in the National Football League (NFL). They compete in the AFC South division along with the Houston Texans, the Indianapolis Colts, and the Jacksonville Jaguars. The Titans have won one AFL championship in their history, in 1960, when they were known as the Houston Oilers. They have never won a Super Bowl, but they came close in 1999, when they lost to the St. Louis Rams by one yard in Super Bowl XXXIV.

The Titans are led by head coach Mike Vrabel, who was hired in January 2018 after serving as the defensive coordinator of the Houston Texans for one season. Vrabel is a former NFL linebacker who won three Super Bowls with the New England Patriots. He is joined by offensive coordinator Todd Downing, who was promoted from tight ends coach in January 2021, and defensive coordinator Shane Bowen, who was also promoted from outside linebackers coach in January 2021.

The Titans have made several changes to their roster in the 2023 offseason, hoping to improve from their 11-6 record in 2022. They traded quarterback Ryan Tannehill to the Miami Dolphins and acquired quarterback Deshaun Watson from the Houston Texans. They also signed wide receiver Randall Cobb from the Houston Texans and defensive end Carl Lawson from the Cincinnati Bengals to bolster their offense and defense. They drafted linebacker Zaire Barnes from Purdue with the 12th overall pick in the 2023 NFL Draft, making him their highest-drafted defensive player since Jevon Kearse in 1999.
