According to SEC Network sideline reporter Alyssa Lang, Morgan was dealing with some soreness and pain in his neck area, which was caused by his neck getting snapped back. He was taken to a local hospital in Arlington, Texas, for further evaluation. Lang also reported that the move was purely precautionary and that Morgan had movement everywhere.
After the game, Arkansas head coach Sam Pittman said that Morgan visited him and told him that he was fine. Pittman also said that Morgan had some tenderness in his neck, but he had movement everywhere and he was at the doctor. Pittman praised the medical staff for taking care of Morgan and said that he hoped he would be back soon.
Morgan is a senior transfer from Pittsburgh, where he played for four seasons. He joined Arkansas this year and has been a key contributor on the defensive line. He has recorded four tackles and two sacks in four games so far.
