Hailie Deegan, the 22-year-old driver who made history as the first female to win a race in the NASCAR K&N Pro Series West, is set to make another milestone in her racing career. She will join the NASCAR Xfinity Series, the second-tier circuit of NASCAR, as a full-time driver in 2024.

Who is Hailie Deegan?

Hailie Deegan is a rising star in the world of motorsports. She started racing at the age of eight, following the footsteps of her father, Brian Deegan, a professional freestyle motocross rider and off-road racer. She competed in various off-road series, winning multiple championships and awards. She also became the first female to race in the Lucas Oil Off Road Racing Series Pro Lite class.

In 2016, she made her debut in the NASCAR K&N Pro Series West, a regional stock car racing series. She became the first female to win a race in the series in 2018, and repeated the feat twice more in 2019. She also finished third in the championship standings that year, the best result by a female driver in the series’ history.

In 2020, she moved up to the NASCAR Camping World Truck Series, the third-tier circuit of NASCAR. She competed in 23 races, scoring four top-10 finishes and earning the Rookie of the Year honors. She also made her debut in the NASCAR Xfinity Series in 2021, racing in three events.

What are her goals for 2024?

Hailie Deegan has signed a multi-year contract with Stewart-Haas Racing, one of the most successful teams in NASCAR. She will drive the No. 41 Ford Mustang in the NASCAR Xfinity Series, joining a talented lineup of drivers that includes Chase Briscoe, Riley Herbst and Cole Custer.

Deegan said she is excited and grateful for the opportunity to race full-time in the Xfinity Series. She said she has learned a lot from racing in the Truck Series and hopes to apply those lessons to her new challenge. She also said she wants to prove herself as a competitive driver and a role model for young girls who aspire to race.

“I’m really looking forward to racing in the Xfinity Series with Stewart-Haas Racing. It’s a dream come true for me to be part of such a great team and organization. I know it’s going to be a big step up for me, but I’m ready to work hard and learn from my teammates and crew chief. My goal is to be consistent, run up front and contend for wins. I also want to inspire more girls to get into racing and show them that anything is possible if you work hard and believe in yourself,” Deegan said.

What are her chances of success?

Hailie Deegan has shown remarkable talent and determination throughout her racing career. She has overcome many challenges and barriers as a female driver in a male-dominated sport. She has also earned respect and admiration from her peers and fans for her aggressive and fearless driving style.

However, she also faces high expectations and pressure as she enters the Xfinity Series. She will have to compete against some of the best drivers in NASCAR, many of whom have more experience and resources than her. She will also have to adapt to different tracks, cars and rules than what she is used to.

Deegan said she is aware of the difficulties ahead of her, but she is confident that she can overcome them with the help of her team and supporters. She said she is not afraid of failure or criticism, but rather sees them as opportunities to grow and improve. She said she is motivated by her passion for racing and her desire to make history.

“I know it’s not going to be easy, but nothing worth doing ever is. I’m not here to just make up the numbers or be satisfied with mediocrity. I’m here to win races and championships. I’m here to make my family, my team and my fans proud. I’m here to make history as the first female full-time driver in the Xfinity Series,” Deegan said.
